Brian Molloy and Hub Bikes were proud to sponsor the efforts of the Cultivating Communities 257-mile bike ride created by Pinnacle Bank to support the communities in which the bank has branches by helping raise funds for local charities at each of the 16 branch locations. The ride spanned four days and helped raise funds for many Georgia charities.

The ride took place from May 20th to May 23rd, and here are just a few of the highlights from the ride and the charities supported:

Day 1 of the #CultivatingCommunities Bike Ride raised vital funds for local charities. Various members of the Pinnacle Bank team left Elberton this morning to start their 257-mile journey, including CEO, Jackson McConnell. The Elbert Co branches chose HOPE-Helping Overcome Poverty in Elbert Co., Hartwell chose Backpacks for Hungry Kids & then Lavonia, Royston and Franklin Springs supported Rainbow Pantry.

Day 2 of Cultivating Communities Cycling Tour’s first stop was Commerce, raising funds for Jackson Co. Food Bank. Then it was onward to Gainesville! The Gainseville branch raised money for SISU-Integrated Learning for 6 weeks to 6 years for special needs children. The ride ended up that day at Braselton fundraising for Eagle Ranch- which makes life better for families in crisis. Wow! It was a 65 mile day and they finished strong!

Day 3 started in Braselton and rode all the way to Covington! Covington’s charity is Hope Boutique serving breast cancer survivors who can’t afford supplies. But no stopping for long! The group moved on to Social Circle to raise funds for WH Stanton Memorial Library for buying books! The day ended in Monroe raising money for Team Up Mentoring. What community changing causes and a lot of miles.

Here’s the full story of Day 4. The team arrived at the W. Athens branch early in the morning. They raised funds for Sparrow's Nest Athens. Then it was across town to our Pinny Campus where they raised money for Project Safe Inc. It was a short ride to the E Athens Branch for a fun stop. Their charity is also Project Safe! Then we had a great time at the Lexington Branch raising money for the Oglethorpe County Senior Center. The last stop was at Main in Elberton raising money for HOPE.

It’s been a great experience but it doesn’t stop today. Everyday we keep working at #CultivatingCommunities! All 16 Pinnacle branches picked a local charity to raise money for, as part of Cultivating Communities.

Stop by any branch today, to see how you can continue to help us raise funds for these great local charities and participate in Cultivating Communities!
